The Restoration Journey

Welcome to Magma Grade Labs!

I started my restoration journey as a collector, just like you, without any thought of starting my own business. My passion for trading cards all began with Pokémon, starting from Base Set up to Neo (so 1998–2000ish).

 

Recently, I found my old collection and noticed some of the cards were in rougher shape than I remembered - oh the joys of shuffling cards without sleeves! After noticing my Base Set Charizard had accumulated some Pokémould (you know, those little black dots often found on vintage cards...), I checked to see what services existed to help bring it back to life. I quickly realized that there was a gap in the market. This has allowed me to restore some shine to my own personal collection that I valued deeply in my childhood, to which I then decided to offer such services to others.

The love of Fire Pokémon (notably, Charizard) spearheaded the search for a restoration service name that was fire-themed. With that, Magma Grade Labs was born!
